How does ethnnocentricity cause conflict?

In Jan 26, 1788, the British fleet arrives and settle in a place which is today known as Sydney. When they have landed, they saw people that they have never seen before. Different from the British, these peoples were black they didn't wear cloth. There culture and laws and language were different from the British and therefore, they try to interact with each others and build relationship. British kidnaps Benolong who was the leader of tribes living in Sydney. British try to change his nature to British style, but unfortunately, they failed to change his nature and his own culture. Soon the British started to call him and the First Australian as unchangeable animals and this thinking lead British and the First Australian to ethnocentric. Even though the relationship between British and First Australian seems smooth, many British could not stop thinking that native were savage and cruel. This point of view form British made them think that the native is animals and it is OK for the British to take over their land. They soon started to take over aboriginals land and claim that is British land, including where they raise their crops to diminish aboriginals. The ethnocentric views from British and aboriginals cause conflict between these two groups and this conflict lead British had control over Australia and aboriginals were force to move away from their land.
